regarding piracytools.io: the site that is currently at the privacytools.io domain is run by the original founder (burung hantu) who was apparently so unreliable that other members of the privacytools team couldn't properly maintain anything. this resulted in the team splitting away and creating what is now privacyguides.org.
theres still some useful info there, but if you pay attention you'll notice the site is recommending stuff they were paid to advertise (they are marked with "affiliated"), which is a pretty clear conflict of interest if you ask me. also the dystopian alarmist shit covering the page is pretty cringey lol.
